ME Naturally Makeup and Techniques

ME Naturally Mineral Makeup is micro-formulated using the highest quality mineral & botanicals sourced the world over. Naturally preserved and completely free of irritants, ME Naturally mineral makeup is weightless and incredibly long-wearing. The ME Naturally line of mineral cosmetics includes lip glosses, lipsticks, blush, eye liners, bronzers, mineral makeup foundation.

Natural minerals give long lasting coverage.  Mineral Make up gives a lightweight natural feel that allows your skin to breathe, unlike talc-based products that can clog pores and damage skin. Our mineral make-up contains all natural micronized Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide which provides SPF sun protection without irritating chemicals. These ingredients are non-allergenic and are a natural sun protection screen for all skin types.

ME Naturally's Mineral Make-up is talc-free, fragrance-free, dye-free, cruelty-free and non-comedogenic. Mineral Makeup forms a protective barrier on your skin while still allowing your skin to breath.  Mineral Make up is suitable for all skin types and because it is chemical, fragrance free and contains zinc oxide it can promote healing of disturbed skin.

You can use our products just as they come, or mix them together in different combinations, making unique color creations that can be your signature colors! Because mineral powders are inorganic and contain no moisture, bacteria do not grow and therefore no preservatives are needed.

How to get the look you want:

By altering your application technique you can completely change the look and feel of mineral make up to suit you. Our eye shadows can be used on the eyes as well as the lips and face, our blushes and shimmers can be used on the eyes and body, our foundations can be used on the lips, and so on.

Mineral Make-up products should be used very sparingly. Please note that they are extremely intense and only require a small amount of product. Using the residue from the cap or lid will be plenty to start.   If this is your first time using a mineral makeup, have patience. You will know if you have over applied if the powder is sitting in your fine facial lines, or if your face looks cakey. You will know if you have applied the powder too soon after your moisturizer if you have a streaky appearance or again, if it’s too cakey.

FOUNDATIONS

Shake your foundation jar and carefully open it. Use the residue of the foundation that is the lid of the container to dip your brush into. Tap off any excess powder from your brush before application to ensure you do not use to much and get a cakey look. It is best to use small amounts and layer the foundation until you get the coverage and look you want.

To get a soft natural diffused look, use our Natural Bristle Kabuki Buffer. For fuller coverage try our Natural Bristle Flat Top Brush. The brush is very important. You must use a natural bristle brush for the best application of mineral makeup. Take the brush of your choice and swirl small amounts starting at the jaw line and working your was over your neck and face using circular motions. Slowly add more powder in this manner until you are satisfied with your coverage.

As a spot concealer you can apply the foundation or concealer either dry or wet. Experiment for your best option. To use dry use our chiseled blending brush. To use wet we suggest our taklon consealer brush, simply wet the tip of a small makeup brush and dip ever so slightly into the lid of the container and apply to face.

If you really enjoy liquid foundations, mix your mineral foundation with our anti-aging antioxidant moisturizer or skin firming primer and blend to the desired color and consistency and then apply to the face. Mix first, do not apply the powder to a freshly (and still wet) moisturized face. You will get a cakey look. Afterwards dust lightly with more foundation or our wonderful setting powders!

BLUSH

The dazzling colors of our blushes are a perfect compliment to your cheekbones. Use a soft, fluffy brush and knock off any excess powder. Then, depending on the look you want to achieve, apply the blush directly to the areas of your cheeks you would like to accentuate.

EYE SHADOWS and EYELINERS

Our eye shadows are hypoallergenic, long lasting and fun. These eye shadows can be applied dry for a more subtle color or wet for a bolder look.

To apply the eye shadows as an eyeliner simply wet our eyeliner brush or very fine eyeliner brush and dip into the lid of the eye shadow container. With a steady hand, guide the brush over the top of your eyelid, right where your lashes meet your skin.

To simply accent your eyes with a “natural” look, softly brush a neutral tone over the lid.

Though eye shadow applications may change with the seasons and the current fashions, the best way to accentuate you eyes is to use 3 different colors applied to your lid. What we suggest is to use 3 complimentary eye shadow colors of the same basic color. Softly brush the lightest color over your entire lid from your lashes up until you reach the brow bone. Then take the darker color and line your eyes using a wet brush. You can take a soft dry eye shadow brush and create a sideways “V” by gently brushing along the eyeliner from the inner part of your eye to the outer, and turning and going back towards the inner part of your eye except you follow the crease of your eye instead. This not only smudges the harsh line of the eyeliner(which is the current fashion), but also gives your eye some depth. Then pick up your middle color and gently brush that over the lower lid of your eye.
